Ottawa County Commissioners Elect Chair and Vice-Chair
The Ottawa County Board of Commissioners elected John Teeples (District 7) as chair and Josh Brugger (District 10) as vice-chair at today's Ottawa County Board Meeting. The elections of chair and vice-chair are for one-year terms.
"My hope and my prayer is that I will personify what a genuine servant leader looks like," said Chair John Teeples. "I will seek understanding and openness. I will always strive to exercise good judgment, and I will seek wisdom on behalf of and for all of Ottawa County."
Drawing inspiration from CBS News reporter Dan Rather, Vice-Chair Josh Brugger said, "America, at its best, and Ottawa County, at its best, is a wonderful, diverse, and spirited chorus. When we sing together, our message is amplified, and it can shake the heavens. My hope for us in this next year, and these next four years, is that our message coming out of Ottawa County will be amplified, that it will shake the heavens and that it will shake the nation."
The next Ottawa County Board of Commissioners meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 7, at 9 a.m. in the Board Room at 12220 Fillmore Street, West Olive. Participate and watch in person or online at miOttawa.org.
