Mary Gay Scanlon for Congress

John, I hope you are having a good start to 2025. Many of you donated to my FEC public filing deadline this week – thank you! Because of your continued trust and dedication to our collective work, my team is full steam ahead as we start the new cycle and face the challenges of this new Congress.

Today is a bit of a somber day as we are in D.C. being sworn in for the new session of Congress. As proud as I am to be sent back for another term, the weight of the moment and the uphill battle we must climb for our families and communities is not lost on me.

As I take my oath of office today, I am thinking of you and promise to do all I can to use my position and platform to advocate for your needs and hold my colleagues accountable to our shared priorities and values.

Those of us being sworn in today are taking that oath on the shoulders of constituents who put their trust in us – I will make sure my colleagues don't forget and are reminded of that fact.

I never shy away from a tough battle on behalf of our people and our future. Especially with this team, including you, beside me. If you didn’t get a chance to support our work moving into the new year you still can here.

Thank you for being here, I hope you’ll stick with us for the road ahead.

Here’s to 2025,

Mary Gay
