Today, I had the honor of taking the oath of office for the 119th Congress. It’s a moment that never loses its weight — a reminder of the responsibility and trust you’ve placed in me for the fight ahead.

This time, it feels even more urgent. As the new Ranking Member of the Oversight Committee, I’m stepping into one of the most critical roles in Congress. It’s my job to hold Trump and his MAGA allies accountable, protect our democracy, and fight for the everyday people who sent me here.

Right now, Republicans are in disarray as they try and elect a Speaker. But make no mistake, Republicans are ready to go after federal workers, Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, and implement Project 2025. I'm going to be on the frontlines of that battle. But I need you with me.
