Sen. Katie Britt reflects on a year of legislative achievements for Alabama
<[link removed]>
It’s been a year filled with significant accomplishments and milestones for
Katie Britt. During the 118th Congress, the Senator worked tirelessly to invest
in Alabama and its small businesses while also addressing America’s border
crisis, supporting Alabama families, and strengthening national security.
“Each and every day I serve as U.S. Senator for the great state of Alabama, I
fight to grow opportunity for hardworking families and preserve the American
Dream for generations to come,” said Britt. “As I reflect on my first Congress,
I’m proud to say that I’ve kept my promise to put Alabama first throughout the
past two years, and I look forward to building on our important work in the
119th Congress.”
Britt detailed her recent efforts to better both her state and the country in
a statement released Tuesday.
“From being a responsible steward of Alabamians’ taxpayer dollars and
returning them home to invest in our state; to pushing back on the Biden
Administration’s reckless agenda; to introducing bipartisan solutions
addressing child care, maternal health, and youth mental health; to combating
America’s border crisis and strengthening interior immigration enforcement; to
ensuring our warfighters remain the best equipped, trained, and prepared in the
world and their families have the support they need; to fighting for Main
Street America—I have made sure Alabamians’ voices are heard,” Britt noted.
“Our people, values, and interests have a strong seat at the table in the
Senate, and we are just getting started.”

Report: U.S. Sen. Katie Britt ‘becoming one of the most powerful senators in
the Trump Era’
<[link removed]>
Citing politicos and leaders on Capitol Hill, the non-profit news organization
NOTUS recently hailed Alabama’s junior U.S. Senator Katie Britt as “a young
rising star of the Republican Party” slated to be a key advisor to
President-elect Donald Trump in his upcoming administration.
Britt received Trump’s endorsement in her 2022 Senate bid after he rescinded
his endorsement for her opponent and former MAGA loyalist, Mo Brooks. Britt
initially declined to endorse any candidate before the 2024 Republican primary,
saying her appointment to the GOP Advisory Council was conditional on her
remaining neutral. However, three months before Alabama’s March primary
election, Britt came out in full-throated support of the now President-elect.
Britt took office in January 2023. Since then, she has made waves as a staunch
Trump ally leading up to his November election. The two shared passing
compliments after an Alabama Supreme Court on in-vitro fertilization (IVF),
with Trump crediting Britt for educating him on the importance of IVF.

Katie Britt calls for reducing legal immigration — ‘American workers have
faced stagnant real wages’
<[link removed]>
With President-elect Donald Trump assuming office in January, Congress should
overhaul guestworker programs like H-1B visas, according to U.S. Sen. Katie
Britt (R-Montgomery).
Britt told 1819 News on Tuesday, “Working alongside President Trump and his
team, my top priority starting in January is securing the border and enforcing
immigration laws across our nation’s interior. We must replace
catch-and-release with detain-and-deport. Some of the first actions I will take
in the 119th Congress are reintroducing the Laken Riley Act, WALL Act, and the
Keep Our Communities Safe Act.”
