Dear Friend,

Happy New Year! As I am sworn into the 119th Congress, I’m incredibly proud of what we accomplished in 2024. From delivering $308 million in federal funding for South Jersey to lowering healthcare costs for seniors, Democrats have made progress for working families. It’s an honor to serve my home, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue delivering for the South Jersey community.

Investing in South Jersey in 2024

Rep. Donald Norcross presented $850,000 in Community Project Funding (CPF) to the Borough of Merchantville to upgrade pedestrian and bike path infrastructure.

In 2024, we secured $308 million in total federal funding for South Jersey, including $61 million for education and $54 million for healthcare and housing. My office also helped recover $7.7 million in funds for constituents and responded to over 50,000 inquiries.

We’ve made significant strides in infrastructure investments, securing $13.6 million for 14 Community Project Funding awards across Camden, Gloucester, and Burlington Counties. These projects will improve wastewater management, support local police, enhance road safety, and invest in community spaces and trails.

On a larger scale, New Jersey received $11 billion in infrastructure improvements, including major projects like the “Missing Moves” project to connect Route 42 North to 295 South, and environmental projects to remove lead pipes and clean up the Lipari Landfill Superfund site in Gloucester County.

Delivering for Working Families

Rep. Norcross hosted more than 100 federal, state, and local services at the 5th annual constituent services fair in August.

Democrats also fought for working families by securing significant healthcare savings for seniors. Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, we negotiated the first 10 drugs for Medicare, which will result in up to 80% in savings, and cap out-of-pocket Medicare Part D expenses at $2,000 annually.

As a union electrician, I will always put workers at the center of everything I do in Congress. This year, I introduced several pieces of worker-focused legislation, including bills to raise the minimum wage, eliminate subminimum wage and taxes on tips for service workers, and improve safety by requiring companies with large warehouses to disclose quotas to workers and prohibiting quotas that interfere with health and safety.

Looking Forward to the 119th Congress

As we look to 2025, I remain focused on delivering results for South Jersey. I’m committed to standing up for working families, lowering costs, and fighting back against extremism. In the coming months, I’ll continue introducing legislation to support our communities and fight for the issues that matter most. Together, we will keep building a brighter future for South Jersey.
