Dear John,
It’s been a whirlwind week, but I’m here to update you on the important
battles I’m fighting in Washington and right here in Minnesota.
I congratulate Speaker Mike Johnson on his reelection! A God-fearing, America
First leader, guided by Providence, he’s the captain we need at the helm. I’m
excited to work alongside him and President Trump to secure our border, protect
our communities, and restore fiscal responsibility and common sense to our
federal government.
Even though we have a Speaker, we’re stuck with Biden for 16 more days. It’s
an absolute disgrace that he awarded citizens’ medals to Rep. Liz Cheney and
Rep. Bennie Thompson for their roles in the January 6th Select Committee. The
purpose of this award is to recognize individuals who have demonstrated
exceptional service to their country or fellow citizens. But these two
individuals spearheaded a partisan witch hunt and dishonored the values of
fairness and transparency. They didn’t seek the truth; they sought to divide us
and bring down President Trump. Rest assured, I’ll continue standing against
this radical rewriting of history and call out those who perpetuate it.
On a somber note, my heart goes out to the victims of the recent attack in New
Orleans. This senseless violence is a stark reminder of how urgently we need to
address the lawlessness across our nation. Whether it is homegrown Islamic
terrorists, radicalized within, or our enemies sneaking across our borders, we
must act. Four years of Democratic policies have left us exposed, but I am
confident that my colleagues and I are ready to work with President Donald J.
Trump to secure the borders, restore order, and ensure that law enforcement has
the tools they need to protect our communities.
Closer to home, the new year brought new laws in Minnesota which directly
impact our daily lives—from higher taxes to more intrusive regulations. Tim
Walz and his liberal allies pushed through a law forcing all health plans to
cover abortions and gender-affirming care, trampling on life and parental
authority. To make matters worse, they’ve banned binary triggers, stripping
away the rights of law-abiding gun owners. I may be a federal representative,
but I will always be a voice against these far-left policies. I will continue
to stand with the Constitution and conservative family values in everything I
do in Congress.
As always, please contact my office if you have any questions about my record
or my votes, or if there is anything we can help with. Thank you for your
continued support!
With gratitude,
