Four years ago today, the future of the country we love changed forever when insurrectionists stormed the Capitol building.

Let’s be clear: Donald Trump’s claims of a stolen election in 2020 and violent rhetoric led these MAGA extremists to stop at nothing to destroy our democracy.

And as we enter an era with a new Congress and a second Trump term, our work to defend democracy must continue. With a MAGA-led Congress, it is more vital than ever to give our all in the fight to protect our fundamental rights and freedoms.

Protecting our democracy can be tough – but we have to roll up our sleeves and do the hard work. We cannot brush aside the events of January 6, 2021.

We must continue to confront the truth of what happened that day and make this country a better place for all. And with your support, I will do whatever it takes to deliver justice and protect the future of our nation.
