Today we remember January 6th, 2021, when Donald Trump incited a mob of supporters to storm the Capitol building in an effort to stop the certification of the election. We especially remember the 140 officers who were injured and lost their lives.

Through those dark moments in our history, New Jersey made us proud. Senator Andy Kim, then a congressman, was photographed cleaning up the Capitol building’s rotunda after the attack. Senator Kim’s gesture instantly became a symbol of America’s resilience and determination.

NJ Dems are committed to electing the next generation of leadership who will defend the constitution and uphold our democracy.
