It's not just the nominees: Cleta Mitchell, a Trump ally who sought to overturn the 2020 election and has become a key figure in the election denial movement, has called for all of the nonpartisan, apolitical, career civil service lawyers in the Department of Justice's Civil Rights division to be fired.
“ They are all leftist activists and use taxpayer dollars and the power of the federal government to advance their leftwing legal theories ,” she said in an email. “ Their loyalty is not to the constitution and the rule of law. They should go back to the leftist advocacy groups they came from .”
She's wrong, just like the other conspiracy theorists and liars, but all these comments and lies show us why we have to stand up and defend our rights.
We're up against a lot in this fight, but it's a fight we can win. RUSH $25 or more right now to defend voting rights nationwide >> [[link removed]]

The Guardian: Fears grow for voting rights as Trump plots to reshape US justice department [[link removed]]
John -- Experts are warning that Donald Trump could use his second term to gut enforcement of U.S. federal voting laws and deploy the Department of Justice (DoJ) to undermine voting rights instead of protecting them.
Full control of DoJ under MAGA nominee Pam Bondi could allow them to amplify misleading claims of voter fraud by non-citizens and others, as well as investigate and intimidate local election officials.
Trump could also cause the department’s civil rights section to end its enforcement of the Voting Rights Act , returning it to the approach that it took under Trump’s first term where they stopped prosecuting several voting rights cases.
Shortly after Trump was inaugurated in 2017, DoJ pulled out of two major voting rights cases -- challenging Texas’s suppressive voter ID law and Ohio’s practice of purging voters from the rolls. It filed almost no new voting rights enforcement cases during the first four years Trump was in office.
John, it's going to be on us to watch out for voters and defend voting rights. Chip in $25 or whatever you can to help us defend our fundamental right to vote, either at the ballot box or in court >> [[link removed]]

Trump has made no secret of his intention to punish his political enemies and subvert the American voting system. And he's not alone:
AG Nominee Pam Bondi assisted Trump’s efforts to try to overturn the 2020 election results, echoing his false claims of fraud. His nominee to lead the civil rights division, Harmeet Dhilon , did the same, plus she has defended suppressive laws in court and fought to keep Trump on the ballot. And FBI Director nominee Kash Patel is a MAGA conspiracy theorist who wants to weaponize the FBI to follow Trump's every whim.
We're about to start a four year period where we need to be on guard and ready to step up for voting rights at any moment. From Congress, to the Department of Justice, to state legislatures, and to the courts -- we've got our work cut out for us.
Our right to vote is worth defending and we need you with us. Fuel our work with $25 or however much you can today and make every vote count in our elections >> [[link removed]]

Integrity First Voter Action Project is dedicated to expanding ballot access and increasing voter participation across the country.
Since the Supreme Court gutted key provisions in the Voting Rights Act, extreme politicians have taken advantage to pass harsh laws that restrict access to the ballot box. These restrictions particularly affect disadvantaged communities and people of color. It’s our goal to bring awareness to these laws wherever they may crop up and organize voters to take action to ensure the right to vote is available to everyone in their states and communities.
