BREAKING NEWS:
Democrats just won two special elections in Virginia AND kept control of the state legislature

These were the first elections we endorsed candidates in since Donald Trump was elected in November — and these victories demonstrate the true power of our grassroots movement.

With elections in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin right around the corner this year, we must keep investing in state-level races all across the country.

We also wanted to be sure you saw what Attorney General Eric Holder had to say about the importance of these results:

“This election underscores the continuing historical fact that the fight for our democracy is never over — as long as the people continue to participate.

By using their power at the ballot box, Virginians have voted to protect pro-democracy majorities in the General Assembly and to stop Governor Youngkin’s attempts to roll back their fundamental rights.

I want to congratulate — and was proud to endorse — Kannan Srinivasan and JJ Singh on their victories. In these Democracy Defenders, Virginians will have dedicated public servants who will put their communities first and protect the rights of the people.”

— Eric H. Holder, Jr.
82nd Attorney General of the United States
