John, losing at the top of the ticket was heartbreaking — but thanks to the hard work of supporters like you, we are celebrating 34 newly sworn in Democratic freshmen representatives in Congress!

This class reflects the strength of our diverse coalition: nearly half of these representatives are women and almost 45% are legislators of color. It also includes a lot of “firsts,” like Sarah McBride (DE-at large), the first openly transgender member of Congress, and Julie Johnson (TX-32), the first openly gay representative from the South, who will hopefully never be the last.
