Honoring Jimmy Carter
The late former President Jimmy Carter was honored Thursday with a long farewell in Washington, D.C., including an official state funeral at Washington National Cathedral.

Friends and family paid their respects to Carter, who died in late December at the age of 100, beside a rare sight: all five living U.S. presidents seated together, including President-elect Donald Trump.

President Joe Biden, who has fewer than two weeks left in the Oval Office, delivered a eulogy, saying Carter established a “model post-presidency” by dedicating his life after office to humanitarian work.
