Never
forget the power our collective voices can make when it comes to demanding
action.

Because of us, over 1,500 people had their lives changed when President
Biden made the largest grant of clemency ever by an American president in
a single day.

And because of us, 37 people are no longer facing the death penalty as a
punishment.

We did that.
You did that. In the final weeks of 2024, we used our voices, our
platform, and rallied for the president to address our growing mass
incarceration crisis, and in response to our campaign’s tireless advocacy,
he took action.

Thousands more people are still awaiting clemency — and President Biden
can do even more in the final days of his presidency to continue to change
and save lives. We’ve got to keep up this fight.

There are more people waiting for a chance at redemption. More people with
unjust sentences, folks with cannabis convictions, those who are
chronically ill, and many charged with nonviolent crimes. Our nation has
the highest incarceration rate in the world, with nearly two million
people locked in jails and prisons throughout the country. This crisis has
resulted in 50% of adults having had an immediate family member
incarcerated.

You know, I know, and President Biden knows the lifechanging impact of one
stroke of a pen. We are running out of time to save as many lives as
possible — and I’m relying on you to help keep the pressure up.

I will do everything in my power to keep fighting for the
thousands of people behind the wall who deserve a second chance.
