It’s official: Today’s the first day of the legislative session here in Iowa!

There’s a lot on the docket for this upcoming session — education, taxes, healthcare — and unfortunately, Republicans hold the majority in both chambers.

To help Iowa Democrats stand up for our rights and hold Republicans accountable this session, will you make a $25 donation right away?

The GOP has the upper hand this session, which is all the more reason we’ve got to get to work ASAP.

Because Republicans’ dangerous policies will affect thousands of families, and we’ll need to respond fast to minimize their impact.

So as the state legislature session kicks off today, I want to assure you that IDP is supporting the Democrats in the state legislature fighting for their constituents, communicating with Iowans about what’s happening in their government, and taking action to make sure the policies we care about remain front and center.
