Conservatives Urge Senate Republicans to Confirm President Trump’s Cabinet Without Delay

The Conservative Action Project (CAP), a pivotal coalition founded in 2008 by prominent conservative leaders to unite the various sectors of the conservative movement, has just released a critical "Memo for the Movement" titled "Conservatives Urge Senate Republicans to Confirm President Trump’s Cabinet Without Delay."
With a membership that includes over 100 CEOs from major conservative organizations such as Act for America, Americans for Limited Government, Family Research Council, and Judicial Watch, CAP's influence is significant.
Notably, Brigitte Gabriel, Chairwoman of ACT for America, has signed onto this memo. Since the November elections, she has been running the "Trump’s Picks for Trump’s Cabinet" campaign, engaging over 576,000 lawmakers through direct emails, calls, and posts. Her deep involvement with CAP underscores the memo's importance in rallying conservative support for swift action by the Senate.
This memo comes at a crucial time when Senate Republicans are urged to expedite the confirmation of President Trump's cabinet nominees to ensure effective governance and policy execution that aligns with conservative principles. Each signatory on this document represents millions of constituents, amplifying the call to the Senate to fulfill what is right for the American people without delay.

President Trump has selected his cabinet, and conservatives urge Senate Republicans to confirm the president’s nominees without delay.
With a 53-seat majority and confirmations only requiring a majority vote, there is no reason the president should have to wait until the middle of February to seat his cabinet. Hearings should be scheduled without regard to demands from Democrats that are only intended to delay progress.
Once on the floor, Senate Republicans should use all the procedural tools at their disposal to move these nominations quickly to a vote.

To govern successfully, and ensure his mandate is given the maximum effectiveness expected by the voters who sent him to the White House, the president needs his full cabinet confirmed by the end of January.
Americans are tired of excuses. Donald Trump’s election sent a message to Washington: business as usual is over. Senate Republicans stand between President Trump being able to execute on his agenda or have his electoral mandate delayed. They should take this responsibility seriously, deny Democrats their delay tactics, and pursue confirmations of the president’s personnel as a top priority.
The president deserves to have his cabinet in place as soon as possible. The voters deserve a president whose administration is fully staffed and ready to act on their behalf. Senate Republicans must act with intention and all haste to confirm these nominees.
