Alzheimer's Awareness Month: Supporting 2SLGBTQI Older Adults
January is Alzheimer's Awareness Month, an important time to recognize that the Canadian healthcare system often isn’t equipped for 2SLGBTQI individuals who get dementia. Care for 2SLGBTQI older adults is often not inclusive of specific needs.

Statement from Egale Canada: The Government of New Brunswick’s Changes to Policy 713
All students deserve to feel included at school and to learn in an environment that is affirming and safe. For over a year, this was not the case for 2SLGBTQI students in New Brunswick. Egale Canada is pleased to see that the Government of New Brunswick has reversed the most harmful elements of the changes to Policy 713 < [link removed] > .
We encourage the government to continue to listen to and work with 2SLGBTQI communities to ensure that the policy moving forward will foster the most inclusive school environments possible.
