We know that many of you are tired, disappointed, and burnt out, and the last thing you thought you would be doing is making a contribution to the Democratic National Committee today.

But today is the day we need Democrats to step up and chip in if you're in a place to do so. Let us explain why:

Trump’s new Republican Congress has already been sworn in and is working on their harmful agenda. And next week, Trump will officially become president. We’re already seeing the chaos and consequences that come with Republicans being in power.

While Trump is focused on renaming the Gulf of Mexico and threatening to invade Greenland, his allies are working on a bill to give tax cuts to the wealthiest 1 percent while working families foot the bill.

It’s clear that we need — America needs — a strong and robust Democratic Party to fight back, organize, and stop the dangerous plans of a second Trump administration and an emboldened Republican Party under his control.

We get that you may be tired or feeling tapped out. But we cannot sit back and let Trump take us backward. So we have to ask one more time:

We're asking you, humbly, to make a contribution to the Democratic Party today. It can be $5, $50, or whatever you can afford. When millions of Democrats come together it all adds up, and we will use your contribution to mobilize Democrats in the weeks ahead to stop the far-right Trump agenda.
