For nearly 500 days, the updates coming out of Gaza described an unprecedented horror.
45,000+ people have been killed. Over 100,000 people injured. The health care system has been decimated. 1.1 million people are facing catastrophic food insecurity.
Through it all, women never stopped giving birth, needing reproductive health care, or getting their periods — even as they were displaced and basic necessities and health services became unreachable.
Getting humanitarian aid into Gaza and to those who needed it became an incredible challenge. But our teams on the ground worked diligently, delivering enough supplies — provided by your donations — to support more than half of all births in Gaza in the last 15 months and other critical health services.
Once the ceasefire officially begins, we will have a crucial opportunity to deliver a sustained surge of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
Time is of the essence, and we need to make up ground toward our partially-funded Humanitarian Response in Gaza to make sure as much aid as possible is delivered.
Will you deliver humanitarian aid and lifesaving care by making a gift today? Women and girls are counting on you in this moment.
We condemn the violence in Lebanon, Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel, and welcome the humanitarian ceasefire, the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas, and an end to the violence. The suffering must end and peace must prevail.
Thank you for being there for women and girls.
