Team, it’s Senator Adam Schiff.
Southern Californians are grappling with horrific wildfires. The damage from these fires is far-reaching — more than two dozen people have died, tens of thousands of others have been evacuated, and thousands of homes, businesses, places of worship, and schools have been destroyed. Families have lost their beloved pets and a lifetime of memories.

First responders and fire fighters have been working tirelessly to contain these fires for days without end. They are exhausted — and heroes, every one of them.
There are some incredible organizations on the ground that could really use our help right now. Red Cross of Los Angeles County has been incredibly hard at work. More than 200 American Red Cross workers, many of whom have been impacted by these wildfires themselves, are helping Southern California residents displaced by the massive and fast-moving wildfires. The Red Cross is providing shelter, food, and relief supplies to people affected by the California wildfires.

Apart from the Red Cross, there are a number of other vital organizations helping out the cause right now. These include the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, United Way of Greater Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, and the California Community Foundation Wildfire Relief Fund.

The Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation is actively working to contain these fires and keep Angelenos safe. Your donations will help local LAFD firefighters get emergency equipment and supplies to save as many lives as possible.
Meanwhile, United Way of Greater Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank are on the ground, helping connect residents in need with food, water, sanitary items, and other critical supplies during this emergency.
And the California Community Foundation is utilizing data from CalFire and the CDC’s Social Vulnerability Index, ensuring that CCF’s grantmaking targets the most underserved – and hard to reach – communities. By focusing on those most affected, they aim to support and advance long-term recovery efforts for Californians who need it most.
Your support for these great organizations would be greatly appreciated. And it will make a real difference in the lives of so many.
Even a $20 split between these four additional organizations will make an impact. Chip in today.
