There are currently three active wildfires burning in Los Angeles County, driven by extreme winds and weather conditions. Nearly 40,000 acres have burned and it's estimated that more than 12,000 structures have been damaged or destroyed. At least 25 people have lost their lives and searches are continuing.
*RED FLAG WARNING*: Critical fire weather conditions will continue through this evening. Red Flag Warnings are still in effect for portions of Los Angeles and Ventura counties. The event continues to bring life-threatening, destructive, and widespread winds that can result in significant impacts such as downed trees, power outages, and most significantly the high risk for large fires with very rapid spread.

*211 LA Teams Up with Hilton and Partners to Provide Hotel Vouchers *
Hilton, American Express and 211 LA have announced a plan to provide vouchers to people impacted by the fires to stay, free of charge, at Hilton properties. In a joint release [ [link removed] ] with American Express, Hilton announced it is making 20,000 hotel room nights available at no charge to impacted people across the greater Los Angeles area. To be considered for the program, residents need to first apply to 211 LA for housing assistance using this application [ [link removed] ]. **New Hotlines Streamline Help for Animals* *
You can report lost and found animals or animals left behind by calling the Eaton Fire Animal Rescue Hotline at (626) 577-3752. If you need help retrieving your pet from an evacuation area, please call (213) 270-8155. For the most up-to-date information, please visit the Pasadena Humane Society website [ [link removed] ].

Los Angeles County is seeing an overwhelming outpouring of generosity from the public looking to assist our fellow residents who have been displaced or suffered devastating losses from these fires. Local Assistance Centers & Disaster Recovery Centers [ [link removed] ] are open to the public every day from* 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. *The centers are a centralized space for residents who have been impacted by the fires to obtain county, state and federal services.
