As Colorado's Secretary of State, I’ve had the honor of fighting for our democracy and ensuring every Colorado voter can make their voice heard.
Since taking office in 2019, I’ve worked tirelessly to expand access to the ballot box and protect our elections. We’ve increased the number of mail ballot drop boxes across the state, expanded in-person voting, guaranteed voting access on every public college campus and tribal land, and launched a statewide system so voters can track their ballots every step of the way.
Democracy faced unprecedented challenges in 2020—and the threats haven’t stopped. As Chair of the Democratic Association of Secretaries of State, I’ve led the charge to ensure election deniers don’t take control of battleground states. Together, we’ve stood firm against attacks on our democratic institutions, proving that truth and justice can prevail when we unite.
Now, with another Trump presidency and ongoing efforts to undermine our freedoms, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Colorado’s progress, resilience, and commitment to equality must serve as a beacon of hope for the rest of the nation.
This fight isn’t just about elections—it’s about the core values we share: freedom, dignity, and the belief that every voice matters. It’s about safeguarding the rights generations before us fought to secure and ensuring our children inherit a democracy as strong as ever.
