Hi John.

I hope you and your family are doing well as we kick off 2025.

This New Year has already marked some important milestones. I recently took my latest oath of office to serve you for the next two years in the 119th Congress. And next week, a new President will take his oath of office as well.

It's important to me to be open and transparent with you. So as we prepare to move ahead, I wanted to share a quick report on how my team and I made a difference for Kansans in 2024 >>

Staying Connected

Image
I’m here to serve every person and corner of our community, regardless of party.

Responded to more than 128,000 constituent messages. That means communicating with an average of 351 Kansans a day! You're always welcome to contact me on any issue.

Sent more than 623,000 text messages to constituents. It's my job to share resources with you and ask for your feedback.

Received 16,605 responses to three major surveys. I was glad to learn more about your priorities to lower grocery prices, work with both parties, and build our economy.

Solving Problems

My team and I are here to help local Kansans however we can. That includes helping folks resolve issues with federal agencies and connecting people with resources.

Resolved 1,236 constituent cases. That means helping Kansans with stalled passports, backlogged veterans' benefits, and more. We’d be happy to help you, too.

Returned more than $3.5 million to Kansas taxpayers. That's overdue tax refunds, Social Security savings, and more. My team and I have now helped return more than $21 million since I took office.

Hosted 36 Pop Up Offices. This is when my staff goes to every corner of our district so we can more conveniently serve you in your own area. See which ones are coming up near you.

Getting Bipartisan Results

Image
I know good ideas can come from Republicans and Democrats. I’m always ready to work with anyone in either party to make a difference for Kansans.

• More than 80 percent of the bills I supported in 2024 were bipartisan.

• Introduced nine original bills in 2024. That includes the bipartisan ABLE Employment Flexibility Act to let employers contribute to savings accounts for disabled individuals, along with others co-led or passed within larger packages.

• Worked three "Sharice's Shifts" alongside local workers. This was a great opportunity to listen to folks and highlight bipartisan legislation like the new infrastructure law.

Focusing on the Kansas Third District

I’ve helped deliver key wins for our local economy. That includes federal support to help modernize U.S. 69 in Overland Park.

Secured support for 15 community projects to grow our local economy and make Kansans safer. That includes support for new law enforcement training vehicles, modernizing roads and bridges, and improving access to clean water.

Led a Farm Tour that hosted 27 agriculture thought leaders, including former Kansas Senator Pat Roberts. My farm tour and conversation was a great opportunity to support Kansas on the U.S. House Agriculture Committee.

Facilitated World Cup community conversations. The World Cup is coming to our community in 2026. We need to start preparing now so we can take advantage of this economic opportunity. That's why I've been convening local leaders and business professionals so we can start getting ready.

There's certainly more work to do. I'll maintain my focus on the issues that make a difference for Kansans. That includes lowering costs, rebuilding our roads and bridges, and supporting small businesses. And I know we can keep making progress in a bipartisan way.

My job is to serve every person and corner of our community – regardless of party. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

My warmest regards,
