Brad Lander for NYC Mayor

Hi John —

Mayor Adams has had three years to “do the work” of keeping people with serious mental illness from cycling from street to subway to hospital to jail.

But under the Adams Administration, homeless New Yorkers with serious mental illness sleep on the streets and subways — when there are currently more than enough supportive housing units sitting empty to house them.

Brad is fed up. This week, he released a common-sense plan to end homelessness for people with serious mental illness.

Check out the main points:

Brad Lander's Safer for All Program to End Street Homelessness for People with Serious Mental Illness

Here’s what Brad told PIX11: “New Yorkers are feeling unsafe on the subway because of these awful incidents. We see people who aren’t well, and we worry… We need a Housing First approach that gets people into stable housing with services.”

John, this is the type of leadership New York City needs. Brad has a vision to make our subways and neighborhoods safer for all New Yorkers — but he needs your support to bring the plan to City Hall.

Please chip in $10 or any amount you can to Brad’s campaign for Mayor. Contributions made by NYC residents are matched 8x (up to $250). You can use this link to give: secure.actblue.com/donate/[email protected]

Thanks,
