Next Monday, January 20, Donald Trump — a fossil fueled fascist who has called climate change a 'hoax' — will be sworn in as President. Again. Framed by dysfunction in Congress and the continuing wildfire crisis in Los Angeles, it's a depressing, disheartening moment.

But while I think this is a moment to panic, I don't think it's a moment to surrender. And fighting back will take a lot of us, and a lot of new ideas. A real re-invention of the 198 methods of nonviolent resistants to authoritarianism.

I'm not asking you to stay calm, rise up, or commit to stay positive and take action despite all that. I'm asking you to act like this is, in fact, a crisis worthy of panic and radical action.

I'm convinced that’s the only way we survive this and bring down capitalism, climate change, and colonialism: By taking radical action in defiance of the authorities and authoritarianism, we can build the solutions and societies we need.
