Some evacuated residents are being permitted to return home, but it will take longer for residents in some of the most heavily impacted communities. Residents in the following areas are being permitted to return today:
Eaton Fire: Evacuation orders have been lifted for Altadena residents who live along Canyon Crest Road in The Meadows east of El Prieto Road. The entry and exit points are Canyon Crest Road and Lincoln Avenue.
Palisades Fire: Residents in the following areas are being permitted to return:
- North of Topanga Canyon Boulevard and South of Mulholland Drive
- North of Old Topanga Canyon Road and South of Summit to Summit Motorway
- North of Mulholland Highway and South of Stokes Canyon Road
- North of Red Rock Road and South of Calabasas Peak Motorway

Preparing to Return Home
It will be at least a week before residents in heavily impacted areas can begin returning home. Inspections, search operations, and assessments are being conducted as quickly as possible to expedite residents’ safe return to their homes and properties. Please visit Recovery.LACounty.gov for the latest resources on recovery. Preliminary maps showing damage assessments have been posted but are incomplete and being updated daily. If there is not a color icon on your address, it means a building has not yet been inspected. We will add damage assessments daily as they become available.
