Since I was sworn in as Delaware’s newest Senator, I’ve hit the ground running to ensure my constituents’ voices are represented in the Senate – and I know these last two weeks have been a warmup for the fight I’ll have ahead.

Because once he’s sworn in as president, Trump will work swiftly to try and enact his severe anti-immigration policies, roll back hard-won reproductive freedoms, and ensure the rich get richer – even as millions of Americans struggle to afford health care and basic necessities.

But we can – and must – fight back. We need to do everything we can to keep Bright Hope alive and our democracy and freedoms protected.

My team and I set an ambitious mid-month goal of $10,000 so we’d have the resources to bring together Delawareans, and all Americans, in the fight for justice – but we’re still a bit short of our goal with just a few hours left before our deadline.
