Dear john,

Since coming to Congress in 2019, I have proudly served on the House Judiciary Committee, where many of the bills that deal with gun violence prevention are considered and debated. This Congress, I am honored to have been selected to serve as the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Crime. Our work to protect families continues, and I look forward to leading my colleagues in this way.

As the nation continues to mourn President Jimmy Carter, our community in metro Atlanta also mourns another champion for the people of Georgia. State Senator Vincent Fort was the first elected official to invite me to share the story of my son Jordan at our state Capitol. He always took up causes fighting for what is right, and he will be deeply missed. I spoke about him on the floor of the House this week--you can view my remarks below:

You are invited to join my office in my sixth annual Valentines for Veterans program! During National Salute to Veterans Week (February 9-15), we will show love and gratitude to Georgia veterans by sending cards to be distributed to men and women at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. For more information about how to participate, see the instructions below:

Valentines for Veterans! Join me in sharing love and gratitude with a Georgia veteran this year. By February 7th, send cards to: Rep. Lucy McBath, ATTN: Valentines for Veterans, 3330 Cumberland Blvd SE, Suite 610, Atlanta, GA 30339

Thank you for taking the time to read this update. It is my honor to serve our community in Congress. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch with my office.
