Folks, the state legislature session is now in full swing. And with Republicans holding majorities in both chambers, Democrats could use all hands on deck.
On January 28th, we have the chance to flip a State Senate seat blue and give more power to Senate Dems fighting for education, health care, and everything in between.
Democrat Mike Zimmer is more than qualified for the job. As the current President of the Central DeWitt school board, and a background as an educator, coach, and small business owner, Mike is the candidate we need representing Clinton, Scott, and Maquoketa counties.
But he’s in a competitive special election — running against a Republican who calls the Department of Education a “bloated bureaucracy," worked with RFK Jr’s anti-vax group, and embraces every right-wing conspiracy imaginable.
Mike’s opponent is also campaigning alongside former GOP Representative Steve King, making it a bit harder for us to drown out the noise. But we won’t give up.
We only have 11 days left to reach Iowan voters and inform them of what’s at stake in the January 28th special election. Will you split a donation of $11 or $25 today between Mike Zimmer and the Iowa Democratic Party to help Mike win in just 11 days?
Let’s flip this seat blue — together.
