Email from Rep Feenstra In this week's roundup: The sixth video of my Farm Bill Breakdown series and my telephone town hall with almost 6,000 Iowans. Dear Friend, In this week's roundup: The sixth video of my Farm Bill Breakdown series and my telephone town hall with almost 6,000 Iowans. FARM BILL BREAKDOWN SERIES PART VI: SNAP BACK INACCURATE SNAP PAYMENTS ACT For the 6th video in our Farm Bill Breakdown series, we’re covering legislation that I introduced to restore accountability to the SNAP program. Every month, $1 billion in inaccurate SNAP payments are processed, causing taxpayers to lose money. It's wrong and must end. My Snap Back Inaccurate SNAP Payments Act establishes a zero-tolerance policy for improper SNAP payments. Learn more below! MEN DO NOT BELONG IN WOMEN'S SPORTS This week, I voted for the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act to ban men from competing in women’s sports or using women’s locker rooms. As a father of two daughters, keeping women and girls safe in sports and at school is very important to me. Feenstra Votes to "Keep Men Out of Women's Sports" - KIWA Radio Washington, DC - A bill has recently been passed in the US House of Representatives addressing transgender individuals playing in women's sports, and staff from Congressman Randy Feenstra's office have [...] Read More PROTECTING THE UNBORN AND DEFENDING INNOCENT LIFE I'm honored to receive an "A+" rating from the Susan B. Anthony National Pro-Life Scorecard for my perfect pro-life voting record during the 118th Congress. As a father of four and a Christian, I will always protect the unborn and defend innocent life. WE MUST AXE THE DEATH TAX! The death tax is an egregious double tax that unfairly targets our family farms and small businesses. The death of a loved one shouldn't trigger a massive tax bill from the government that threatens to force family-owned-and-operated farms and businesses to close their doors. THANK YOU TO THE NEARLY 6,000 IOWANS WHO JOINED OUR TELEPHONE TOWN HALL ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT! On Wednesday night, nearly 6,000 Iowans joined our telephone town hall to learn more about my work for our families, farmers, businesses, and rural communities. Under President Trump, we're going to build the wall, extend the Trump tax cuts, and make our country energy independent again! ANTISEMITISM HAS NO PLACE IN OUR COUNTRY Following Hamas’ violent invasion of Israel in October of 2023, antisemitism has significantly increased throughout the United States and around the world. Jewish students are being targeted and harassed on college campuses, synagogues have been vandalized, and Jewish-owned businesses have faced attacks. Even national organizations with nonprofit status are allowing antisemitism to permeate into their conferences. It’s unacceptable and those responsible must be held accountable. In response to antisemitism at conferences recently held by the National Association of Independent Schools in Denver, I led a letter to the organization’s president condemning this inexcusable behavior and requesting answers about how certain speakers were allowed to spew anti-Jewish hatred and how such actions will be prevented in the future. We must always speak out against antisemitism and stand with our Jewish community here in the United States and our allies in Israel. Read my full letter below. VOTING TO DEPORT ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS WHO COMMIT SEX CRIMES AGAINST AMERICANS Due to President Biden’s open-border policies, innocent Americans have been needlessly victimized by illegal immigrants, suffering sex crimes and domestic violence. That’s why I voted for legislation to ensure that any illegal immigrant who commits a sex crime or domestic violence offense is swiftly detained and deported. With unified Republican leadership in our nation’s capital, we will deliver where the Biden administration intentionally failed, lock down our border, and protect our families and communities from violent crime. 145 House Dems vote against bill to deport migrants who commit sexual assault A bill to deport illegal immigrants accused of sexual assault or domestic violence passed the House on Thursday. Read More UNDER PRESIDENT TRUMP'S LEADERSHIP, WE WILL PASS THE FARM BILL My colleagues on the House Agriculture Committee and I will work with President Trump to pass the Farm Bill! We must strengthen crop insurance, increase reference prices, open new export markets, and include protections to keep our farmland away from China and our foreign adversaries. REAUTHORIZING THE TRUMP TAX CUTS IS CRITICALLY IMPORTANT The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was wildly successful. Our families benefitted from a doubled standard deduction and a more generous child tax credit. Our small businesses saw a 20% tax cut. Our farmers and manufacturers made new investments. We must reauthorize these tax cuts! SUPPORTING LIQUID FUELS OVER ELECTRIC-VEHICLE MANDATES Last summer, Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID) and I led over 150 of our colleagues in urging the Biden administration to overturn its de facto EV mandate on trucks and semis. I'm glad to see that California is now reversing course on its forced EV transition for trucks! California withdraws clean truck EPA waiver request ahead of Trump inauguration California said on Tuesday it has withdrawn its request for a federal waiver to require commercial truckers to transition to zero-emissions vehicles, preempting an expected denial from the incoming administration of President-elect Donald Trump.
