John,

In just over 24 hours, Donald Trump will take the oath of office and officially become our 47th president.

We’ve already seen a troubling preview of the chaos that’s in store for us when Trump returns to the Oval Office. Trump already nearly forced a government shutdown in December, and the confirmation hearings for his Cabinet picks have highlighted the dangers posed by this administration.

With a team of inexperienced MAGA loyalists and a Republican-controlled Congress at his side, Trump is set on dismantling the federal government as we know it and rebuilding it in his own ugly image. His plans for the first 100 days of his second term include mass deportations, destructive tariffs, tax cuts for ultrawealthy corporations, rolling back workers’ rights, and more.

John, we can’t stand by and let them get away with it. It’s up to us to resist Trump’s harmful agenda and keep Minnesota moving forward on our own terms, regardless of what they throw at us.

To make sure we’re prepared to fight back the moment Trump takes office, we set a goal of raising $30,000 by 11:59 pm tomorrow night, and right now, we still have a long way to go to reach our target.

John, can we count on you to contribute $10, $25, $50, or whatever you can by 11:59 pm tomorrow to ensure we’re ready to protect our shared values no matter what comes our way this year?

Thank you,

Minnesota DFL
