Friend,
In a 5-4 victory today, the Supreme Court blocked the Trump Administration's decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. This is an incredible victory for the nearly 700,000 undocumented immigrants who came to the United States as children, their families, and our nation.
Justice prevailed as the Supreme Court stood on the right side of history. As our Executive Director Frank Sharry said, "This could well be the turning point in our generation's ferocious debate regarding immigrants and immigration policy in America."

For more than two and a half years, since the Trump Administration ended the program in 2017, DACA recipients have been in limbo, uncertain of their future. Today, they can breathe a sigh of relief knowing what we've known all along -- their #HomeIsHere.
As we celebrate today, we must remember that our work is not over. DACA is not a permanent solution. President Trump could still try to end it and DACAstill does not provide a path to citizenship.
We must continue fighting to block additional orders from the Trump administration, demand that Congress finally pass the Dream and Promise Act, and campaign for candidates who support immigrant youth and promise to fight for them to remain in the country.
However, today we are happy to celebrate this victory, one that was only possible because of the many DACA recipients and immigration supporters who have led the fight.
DACA recipients are our friends and neighbors. They are teachers, nurses, doctors, business owners, engineers, first responders, students, and parents.
Thank you for your continued support as the fight continues.
Onward,
Juana
