This is my last pitch of the week, but our fight is urgent and critical and we need you to bring home the victory.

Unless we win some major tenant protections this year, displacement and homelessness will get much worse. 

Corporate landlords are throwing in big to stop the Tenant Protection Act of 2019 from passing - they are meeting with legislators and generating hundreds of calls into their offices to keep tenants from winning the rent gouging and unjust eviction protections the Tenant Protection Act will provide. That’s why we need your support more than ever before.

California is at risk of a wholesale transformation, where communities of color  are forced out of their homes, out of the state, or into the streets. According to a 2018 study by Zillow, for every 5% rent increase, 2,000 people are pushed into homelessness in Los Angeles and in Oakland, 30% of the black population has been displaced in just a decade.
