I think it’s important you take a look at some of the polling data that’s come out in recent weeks about our Senate race:

East Carolina University
Cal Cunningham (D) - 41%
Thom Tillis (R) - 41%

Fox News
Cal Cunningham (D) - 39%
Thom Tillis (R) - 37%

New York Times
Cal Cunningham (D) - 42%
Thom Tillis (R) - 39%

All these polls have our race within the margin of error — and since North Carolina is considered to be the “tipping point” state for control of the Senate this year, that means the stakes are really high.

Like Cal says, this race will not be a landslide. It will be a squeaker — and we have to be prepared not to leave a single vote on the field come November.

As Cal’s campaign manager, it’s my job to manage our budget to make sure we have enough resources to invest in hiring staff and funding our paid media program.
