Friend – There are a number of ways to cast your vote in the November 3 election. Many voters prefer to vote with an absentee ballot, that is, filling out a ballot ahead of time. Voting by mail is one way to cast your absentee vote, and it's contact-free! Here's how:
1) Make sure you're registered.
2) Request that a ballot is mailed to you. Mail the form by the deadline, Saturday, October 24. Be sure to give it plenty of time to arrive at your county auditor's office.
3) Complete the ballot and return it to your county auditor. You can also drop off your ballot at the county auditor's office any time until 5 p.m. on Election Day. Or check with your county auditor to see if there are any absentee ballot drop boxes around your community. Find out more about early voting and voting in Iowa on our website. Sincerely, ACLU of Iowa |
