The Senate is not working for us,

Last week, Sen. McConnell introduced a new COVID-19 recovery package
filled with bailouts for the fossil fuel industry and loopholes for
corporations to skirt accountability for endangering the health of their
workers. It was not a good deal, and it flopped.

The Senate must commit to fighting for a Just Recovery from COVID-19 and
climate chaos. That’s why we are working to get as many elected officials

After failing to address the pandemic, the climate catastrophe, and racial
injustice boiling over across America, the need for action is obvious. Our
elected officials, particularly those up for election this November, are
eager to show they are ready to handle the competing crises of COVID-19
and climate change.

It’s up to us to set the standard and demand a Just Recovery that
includes:

* Protections for essential workers and health care for all
* Economic relief directly to the people, not corporate executives
* Protecting our democracy and the results of the election
* Stopping Fossil Fuel expansion
* Investing in a Green New Deal

Over the last few weeks we have watched wildfires spread across the west
setting ablaze millions of acres of forests and communities. Meanwhile,
nearly 200,000 lives have been lost from COVID-19. We cannot normalize
this nightmare.

With only weeks left until the 2020 election we must keep pushing our
Senators to support a Just Recovery that works for all of us.
