Since joining Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2002, Dr. Santo Tomas has led teams tasked to improve patient care and outcomes for hospital and clinic patients. Though he sees a wide variety of respiratory diseases, colleagues in pulmonary medicine have particularly sought his assistance and second opinion on patients with work-related lung disease, interstitial lung disease and pulmonary complications in hematopoietic stem cell transplant patients. He has been voted by his peers to the Best Doctors list every year since 2005.

We Neighbors is a 20 minute documentary that explores the impact on the people living in the shadow of their industrial neighbor - the Oak Creek, Wisconsin electric power plants operated by We Energies. The film was produced by Tom Rutkowski, Chair of the Sierra Club’s Southeast Gateway Group, and Natalie Chulew.
Documentary underscores lingering bad blood over coal plant
"For years, a small handful of neighbors have been making baseless accusations related to our operations in Oak Creek. We take both our environmental and community responsibilities very seriously." Brendan Conway, We Energies spokesman
