People often ask us what it's like to be raised by two doctors. And if there's one thing we tell them, it's that our mom and dad taught us to be independent and strong-willed from a very young age -- but also to trust science, experts, and facts. They inspired us to think for ourselves and encouraged us to look at the facts and make our own choices -- for our education, for our futures, and most especially for our health. From as early on as we can remember, our dad made sure we knew that we were in control of our lives and our bodies. Seeing firsthand how strongly he believes in the right of every woman to make her own decisions makes us even more proud to support him, for our sake and for women across our state and country. We sat down to discuss our dad's stance on reproductive rights and what having a pro-choice champion for Alaska would mean to us.
