Keva Landrum Endorsed by Congressman Cedric Richmond for District Attorney
(New Orleans) - Congressman Cedric Richmond has announced his enthusiastic support for Keva Landrum to be New Orleans' next District Attorney. "In my time in Washington, I have always been an advocate for real criminal justice reform and that means reducing crime while ensuring systemic change. Keva has the experience and compassion we need to deliver real reform and will be fully committed to our community without any distractions."

Keva Landrum expressed her gratitude and said, "We have an opportunity to turn the page on our criminal justice system to one that prioritizes public safety and provides the needed reforms that will serve justice fairly. As the only candidate who has prosecuted cases, I know I am ready for the job on Day 1. But criminal justice reform also means having compassion for victims, especially women who experience the trauma of domestic violence. I am so glad to have the support of Congressman Richmond and look forward to his partnership in our nation's capital to bring real criminal justice reform."

Keva Landrum is the front runner in the race for District Attorney as the officially endorsed candidate of the Democratic Party, the Greater New Orleans AFL-CIO, Gambit Weekly, New Orleans Advocate, NOLA.com | The Times Picayune, and other community organizations and public officials including Mayor LaToya Cantrell and now Congressman Cedric Richmond.

About Keva Landrum
Keva Landrum has spent the last 24 years serving the citizens of New Orleans as a respected judge, attorney and public servant. Landrum started her career as a prosecutor in the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office where she climbed the ranks independently and through hard work. During her tenure with the District Attorney’s Office, Landrum tried over 100 jury and bench trials and provided leadership as a felony prosecutor, homicide and sex crimes screener, chief of the juvenile division and chief of the screening division. Such tenacity led to her historic 2007 appointment as the first ever female District Attorney (Acting) for New Orleans and the State of Louisiana. In 2008, Landrum was elected Judge of Section E of Orleans Criminal District Court where she presided for 12 years. During this time, Landrum made history again as the first African American female to serve as Chief Judge of the court, where she oversaw the administrative functions of the court and led its criminal
justice reform efforts.

Early voting is Nov. 20-28 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (excluding Sunday, Nov. 22, Thursday, Nov. 26 (Thanksgiving) and Friday, Nov. 27 (Acadian Day). To read Keva Landrum's priorities, join #TeamKeva, donate or get involved, visit www.KevaLandrum.com.
