Hello, Chicagoans.
Want to have an impact on solving for the life-altering issues of climate change, environmental injustice, and public health? The Ready for 100 Chicago Collective, of which 350 Chicago is a member, is in the midst of crafting policy as a result of Chicago unanimously passing a resolution to transition the city to 100% renewable energy. We want to hear from residents about what issues matter most as we plan for a just transition to 100% renewable energy.
Ready for 100 Chicago recently hosted the #PowerUp series which were four community conversations during which we heard from residents about their priorities. You can read more about those conversations or watch the recordings via the Ready for 100 Chicago website.
This is where we would like your help: following the #PowerUp series, we built four surveys based on the feedback from each #PowerUp conversation. We would like additional input from Chicagoans, so please click on a wiki survey link below and tell us which ideas are most important to you.
Each page asks the same base question but the topic changes. Here is an example:
Under each question, you’ll see two choices, and you will pick which is most important to you. Each of the possible answers came from our #PowerUp conversations, and this survey is our way of adding your opinions and views to the conversation.
Once you’ve made your choice, you’ll see two new ideas from which to choose. You can repeat the process as many times as you like; there is no end to the survey. Can you spare 5 minutes to participate in a survey or four?
It can be difficult to choose just one answer, but try your best! Or, if you have an idea of your own, suggest it by typing into the box that labeled “Add your own idea here…” Once you submit your idea, others will have the chance to vote for your idea!

The feedback from the #PowerUp conversations and these surveys will inform Ready for 100 Chicago Collective’s meetings with the City of Chicago, helping to develop the city’s clean energy transition plan. It is important to our work that community voices are involved from the very beginning, so that we ensure transparency, justice, and racial equity form the transition’s core principles and drive city policy.
