John,
It’s finally time to close out this difficult, heartbreaking, and transformative year. We came into this year knowing it would be historic, but nothing could have prepared us for all of the challenges that this year would bring. And despite it all—young people showed up and led the way on a multitude of progressive victories(take a look back on some of the victories our network contributed to this year in this blog post!).

At the Alliance, we are united by the unwavering belief that young people are our nation’s moral compass. Everyday we engage young people because we know that when young people are invested in and supported to lead, we all win. The Alliance and our network helped to create the conditions for young people to step into their power. Our network organizations are the political homes for thousands of young people across the country— homes where those young people are learning to organize and drive change on the issues they care about most.

As we look towards the new year, our team is ready to continue building alongside the most diverse and progressive generations our country has ever seen. We know that elections are just one tool in our tool box as organizers. And in 2021, the work continues. Our network will kick off the year engaging young people in issues campaigns that deliver real policy change in city councils and state legislatures across the country. And we’re already gearing up for crucial municipal elections that will have a lasting impact on the daily lives of millions.

2021 will be a year to drive steadfast towards our bold vision for the future. The time is now and this moment is ours.

Wishing you and yours a joyous and abundant new year.

Cheers,
