[1]Alessandra Biaggi - Democrat for State Senate
Friends -
Millions of New Yorkers have lost their jobs, are struggling with food
insecurity, or are worried about whether they'll be evicted when some of
the tenant protections we've passed expire this year.
But COVID-19 hasn't been so difficult for everyone...
Billionaires in New York State have seen their wealth balloon by hundreds
of billions of dollars since the pandemic began.
And it's time for them to pay their fair share to help New Yorkers survive
this crisis. Add your name if you agree:

to support the Invest in Our New York Act to generate $50 billion in
revenue to help our communities survive the pandemic and thrive in its
aftermath.
Unsurprisingly, Governor Cuomo's proposal is far from sufficient.
That is why I gathered with a number of community leaders and elected
officials, including AOC, in the Bronx last week to send a clear message
that it is time to tax the rich in New York State.
Here's me speaking at the event:

Let's be honest, this growing inequality did not start during the pandemic
— it has been going on for a long time. What is unique is the level of
human suffering right now.
The wealthy have had it very well for a very long time, and they'll
continue to do just fine when they start paying their fair share.
This isn't just about a budget deficit. This is about building a better
future for ALL of New York.
The budget process starts in March, and we all need to make our voices
heard.
