It's been two weeks since President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan into law -- and we're already seeing so many benefits.
Tens of millions of people a day are getting their $1,400 relief checks, more vaccines are becoming available in every state, and more resources are flowing to small businesses to keep their doors open.
Another significant benefit of the American Rescue Plan is that it charts a path to get our kids back to in-person learning. As a father of two boys, this is a top priority for me. Earlier this month, I was joined by First Lady Dr. Jill Biden while touring Samuel Smith Elementary School in Burlington City. We talked with our neighbors about our efforts to keep students and teachers safe as we get closer to returning to normal -- and got their feedback on the best path forward for them.
But Republicans are twisting the legislation with disinformation -- or are bragging about the bill even though none of them voted for it. The GOP doesn't want the American people to know that they turned their back on them in their greatest time of need. This is why it's essential to hear the stories of how the American Rescue Plan is helping millions of Americans -- and how it is helping you.
