Kia ora John,



I’m dropping you a line today because I want to send a big (and overdue!) thanks for all your support. 



Before I do that, though, I want to quickly introduce myself. My name’s Rob, and I’ve been the General Secretary of the New Zealand Labour Party for the past few months. It’s a new role for me, but I’m not new to the Labour movement - I’ve been working with Labour for several years now, and I love to live and breathe the values our Party stands for.



That’s why I’m so grateful for the thousands of supporters like you who backed Jacinda Ardern and our Labour team during the 2020 election. Every dollar donated and every hour volunteered helped to re-elect our Government, ensuring the team can continue to turn Labour values into policies that make a meaningful difference for New Zealanders.



Your support for Jacinda and the Labour team is now paying off for people across New Zealand. 



Thanks to you, from today minimum wage workers will be paid $20 an hour, and families who rely on benefits will have more money to pay the bills.



Thanks to you more Kiwis will be able to afford their first home, and more young people can access free period products in schools throughout New Zealand.



And thanks to you our Government has been able to continue a strong COVID response, and is now rolling out a free, effective vaccine to protect everyone in New Zealand.



I’m really proud of everything the Labour team has achieved since the election, and the difference this is already making for thousands of Kiwi families. None of it would have been possible without people like you backing Labour during the 2020 campaign. 



So for everything you’ve helped achieve so far, I want to say thank you. 



I’m looking forward to sharing more good news about the difference your support is making across our community soon. For now though, thanks again for being part of the Labour movement, and I wish you a very happy Easter weekend!
