I wanted to take a moment to tell you why early investments in NJ-03 will be the difference between Democrats holding the majority in the House and Republicans taking back control.
Last November, we won NJ-03 by 33,513 voters, while Donald Trump carried the district. That wouldn't have been possible without our team of thousands of volunteers, dozens of precinct captains, and a small but mighty full-time staff.
NJ-03 is one of the most important districts ahead of the 2022 midterms -- and our race is already shaping up to be extremely competitive.
But right now, our campaign staff is a team of three -- and that's if you count me. Based on what we'll need to do to defend this seat, we'll need more people on the ground with us helping coordinate our operation.
We'll need to register tens of thousands of new voters and out-communicate the false narrative Washington Republicans are spreading about me if we're going to protect this seat against national Republican groups like the NRCC, CLF, and the AAN.
I represent one of the toughest districts in the country for a Democrat to hold -- and bringing on more people to begin organizing early will help us rally the support we need to win again.
