May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. As a second-generation Korean American, this month carries special meaning for me -- especially this year.

After so much recent pain, I'm taking time this month to celebrate everything that makes our community special: our history, our culture, our accomplishments, and our struggles alike.

So, no matter your heritage, I'm hoping you'll join me in recognizing all the incredible contributions Asian Americans have made to our great nation. And I hope you'll commit to helping us overcome the stubborn obstacles and biases that so clearly persist today.
