We are down to the last 2 weeks until the state approves its next budget!  Many offices are starting to feel the pressure and are saying many people have been calling about this issue!! Every week so far hundreds of tenants have been calling and we must keep up the pressure! 





Over the next 2 weeks, we will continue to put pressure and bring awareness to this issue using our voices!! As we see more and more of our state re-open, the more we will start to hear people say, “Things are back to normal”, when in reality, it’s NOT. People are still not back to work fully, many tenants owe thousands in rent debt, and tenants are still waiting on their statewide rental assistance!



Here are a few ways that you can take actions this week to help increase tenant protections for all tenants Statewide:



1.Attend our Monthly Housing Justice League Meeting this Saturday! <[link removed]>





This Saturday, June 5th, at 10 am, ACCE members will be discussing our housing justice fight agenda for the next month, as political updates around where we are in the housing justice fight.



<[link removed]>2.Continue making calls and sending emails into the Key Legislators offices to close the loopholes and extend the housing protections! The key legislators we are targeting are:



- Assembly member Anthony Rendon

- Assembly member Tony Atkins

- Assembly member Phil Ting

- Assembly member Nancy Skinner

3. Texting Action!!! Help spread the word and get thousands of ACCE supporters to email and call their legislators using the Stop the Eviction Cliff Link!! 



- If you are already set up on the Hustle App then you can start sending text messages this week!





- If you don't know how to use the Hustle app but want to help with texting, register for our next texting training!

4.Social Media Action!! 



- Take a picture of yourself holding up a sign saying “No Renter Left Behind” and tag your local Senator and Assembly Member and let them know why they need to extend these protections. 







If you don’t have social media, just send us your picture with your quote saying why we need these loopholes extended!

¡Estamos en las últimas 2 semanas hasta que el estado apruebe su próximo presupuesto! ¡Muchas oficinas están comenzando a sentir la presión y dicen que muchas personas han estado llamando por este tema! Todas las semanas, hasta ahora, cientos de inquilinos han estado llamando y debemos mantener la presión.



¡Durante las próximas 2 semanas, continuaremos presionando y creando conciencia sobre este problema usando nuestras voces! A medida que veamos más y más reapertura de nuestro estado, más comenzaremos a escuchar a la gente decir: "Las cosas han vuelto a la normalidad", cuando en realidad NO lo es. La gente todavía no ha vuelto a trabajar por completo, muchos inquilinos tienen miles de deudas de alquiler y los inquilinos todavía están esperando su asistencia de alquiler en todo el estado.



Aquí hay algunas formas en que puede tomar medidas esta semana para ayudar a aumentar las protecciones de inquilinos para todos los inquilinos en todo el estado:



¡Asista a nuestra reunión mensual de la Liga de la Justicia de la Vivienda este sábado!



- Este sábado 5 de junio a las 10 am, los miembros de ACCE discutirán nuestra agenda de lucha por la justicia de vivienda para el próximo mes, como actualizaciones políticas sobre dónde estamos en la lucha por la justicia de vivienda. <[link removed]>



¡Continúe haciendo llamadas y enviando correos electrónicos a las oficinas del legislador clave para cerrar las lagunas y extender las protecciones de vivienda! Los legisladores clave a los que nos dirigimos son:

Tome una foto de usted mismo sosteniendo un cartel que diga “Ningún inquilino se quede atrás” y etiquete a su Senador y Miembro de la Asamblea local y hágales saber por qué necesitan extender estas protecciones.
