My five-year-old son hit a big milestone two weeks ago: he took a sustained bike ride down our street without training wheels for the first time. I'm so proud of him -- see for yourself!

Seeing him reach that milestone made me think of our grassroots movement. Looking at the road ahead of us, I understand why some folks might be feeling nervous right now -- especially after all the obstacles these corporate PACs and far-right hate groups have been throwing in our path, and given that three Republicans are openly considering running against me in NJ-03.
But, just like my son, we simply need to keep taking it one step (or, in his case, one pedal) at a time. And, we also have to keep pace and stay on track to reach our shared goals together.
Transparently, that's why I'm reaching out today. According to my finance team's latest report, our grassroots fundraising is about $6,700 behind where we should be right now. And, this next checkpoint is a big one. This next quarterly fundraising report will shape the dynamics of this race, from now all the way to the finish line on Election Day.
Here's the good news: My team says that if everyone reading this email right now pushed just a little harder and contributed even just $5 or $10 today, we wouldn't just catch up on our goal -- we'd zoom ahead of it!
