Dear Friend,
Every day, the team here collaborates with people trying to improve the lives and futures of America’s youth.
That’s why I’m so excited for our Promise Night celebration on Oct. 24 at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C., where we will celebrate adults across the country who are making a difference in the lives of young people. And I want to see you there!
- Tim Finchem, who as a former commissioner for the PGA TOUR inspired the world of golf to give back to young people
- Chekemma J. Fulmore-Townsend, president and CEO of the Philadelphia Youth Network, who is focused on driving transformation in poverty and inequity for youth and young adults
- Juan Salgado, chancellor at City Colleges of Chicago, who was recognized as a 2015 MacArthur Fellow, one of the most prestigious innovation prizes in the United States
- T. Denny Sanford, philanthropist and entrepreneur, who is dedicated to supporting and creating innovative solutions that address some of our society’s greatest challenges
We will also remember the very special contributions of Peggy Cooper Cafritz, founder of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts.
Promise Night is going to be a special event, and I want to give you the opportunity to experience it.
Making a donation isn’t necessary to win, but your support helps us empower young people and amplify the dedication and hard work that our award recipients have started.
I’ll be there, and I hope to see you there too.
