John,
The battle for fair maps has begun in our state Supreme Court. With multiple lawsuits in play, Ohioans aren’t taking any chances in making sure our districts actually represent us.
But unfortunately, on this particular issue, these lawsuits are only a temporary solution. We should not have to rely on our legal system to protect our very right to representation.
Republicans are trying every trick in the book in order to keep gerrymandering alive. They’re now requesting that Justice Brunner -- a career-long fair district defender -- recuse herself from the cases at hand. They know they can’t win in a fair court. Ohio deserves better than districts drawn by people always looking for the next excuse. The buck needs to stop here.
These lawsuits are only one vital part of protecting our right to free and fair elections. What we need next is a Secretary of State to stand guard every single day, for us and for our vote. Chip in $15 or more right now to help Chelsea make Ohio a state where our right to representation is celebrated and defended, not attacked by partisan forces.

This is a pivotal moment for our state. If you have to manipulate the map to win, then you don’t deserve to be representing the people of Ohio. Chelsea is ready to earn her office, not cheat her way in.
The partisan maps we’ve seen are confusing, but the importance of this issue is clear as day. So chip in $15 or whatever you can do today to help Chelsea bring back balance as Secretary of State.
