Friend – In just two months, the Iowa Legislature will be back in session. We're getting ready by reaching out to Iowans who are concerned about civil liberties and want to inform themselves on the issues in order to better advocate for them. The ACLU of Iowa will be hosting live Zoom workshops on some of the most pressing civil liberties issues likely to be in play during the legislative session. Sign up below for one workshop, or all four, and equip yourself to better make a difference come the start of the session in January! Each session is one hour and will be held two times that day, once at noon and once at 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 17 – Protecting Transgender Rights. Wednesday, November 24 – Advocating Against Race and Gender Discrimination in Housing. Wednesday, December 1 – Upholding Reproductive Freedom. Wednesday, December 8 – Ending Racial Profiling and Reducing Mass Incarceration. Please note: These links will take you to a third-party website, everyaction.com.
